Dominican companies will have a greater local supply of specialized services for their industrial processes, after the Dominican Accreditation Body (ODAC) expanded the accredited scope of the TDP Dominicana laboratory in the areas of pressure and temperature, thus strengthening the national quality infrastructure and contributing greater competitiveness to the productive apparatus.

Starting with this expansion, sectors such as energy, manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, food, pharmaceuticals, and technical services will be able to access a broader portfolio of internationally recognized calibration services in the country, reducing response times, operating costs, and dependence on foreign suppliers.

These new capabilities respond to the growing demands of the productive sectors regarding process control, measurement reliability, and compliance with international standards, which are fundamental aspects for ensuring quality, efficiency, and access to increasingly competitive markets.

The executive director of ODAC, Ángel David Taveras Difo, highlighted that the expansion of the accredited scope represents a strategic advance for the strengthening of the quality infrastructure of the Dominican Republic.

“Each accredited expansion strengthens the country’s quality infrastructure and creates better conditions for our companies to operate with greater efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in increasingly demanding markets,” he stated.

For his part, Gustavo Velásquez, president of TDP Dominicana, stated that this expansion responds to the sustained growth of the laboratory and the commitment to continue strengthening its technical capabilities to meet the needs of the market.
