Through a statement, the general director of OGTIC, Edgar Batista, explained that as soon as the incident was detected, the Monitoring, Cybersecurity and Digital Services Continuity teams activated the incident management protocol. This included immediate support, continuous monitoring and direct coordination with the affected institutions to mitigate the impact.
“From the OGTIC we directly monitor the situation, in permanent contact with international providers to accelerate recovery and ensure that the essential services of the State are restored safely and promptly,” Batista pointed out.You can also read: OGTIC launches ALFA platform and strengthens animal protection
Following Cloudflare’s announcement regarding the progressive recovery of its network, the OGTIC carried out the necessary internal verifications and confirmed the complete restoration of compromised governmental digital services, as well as the normalization of the operation of all platforms without affecting their performance.
The institution assured that it will continue with the constant monitoring of state infrastructures, reiterating its commitment to the availability, security, and resilience of the digital services of the Dominican Government, in addition to rapid attention to any technological eventuality.
