Santo Domingo.- Members of the Joint Task Force, in coordination with technicians from the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) and other State security agencies, intensified this Wednesday the preventive, supervision, and enforcement operations aimed at motorcycle taxi drivers operating at various informal transport stops nationwide.
The day is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening road and citizen safety, ensuring compliance with regulations governing motorcycle passenger transport, and promoting the responsible use of public roads.
According to the authorities, the operations are being carried out at strategic points throughout the national territory with the participation of the National Police, the Dominican Republic Navy, the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT), the General Directorate of Migration, and other state institutions.
The actions include verifying compliance with traffic regulations, preventive checks, and oversight tasks to detect potential irregularities, reinforce public order, and reduce risk factors associated with urban mobility.

The authorities highlighted that these efforts seek to protect the life and integrity of both drivers and users, in addition to fostering a culture of respect for the laws and contributing to a safer and more organized circulation.
