Santo Domingo.- Producciones Panda Rosa returns to the stage with PARADISO, a moving comedy-drama that will premiere starting September 3, 2026, at the Sala Manuel Rueda of the School of Fine Arts, under the direction of Jean Villanueva and Rosa Aurora.

The play invites the audience to laugh, be moved, and reflect on the value of friendship, family, and the passage of time, through a deeply human story told with the humor and sensitivity that characterize the company’s productions.

The story takes place in a nursing home called Paradiso, where a group of residents with completely different personalities live together amidst memories, small arguments, and great witticisms. Everything changes during the wake of one of their companions, an event that gives way to conversations about death, loneliness, abandonment, memory, and the importance of feeling loved at any stage of life.

Although it addresses universal and deeply emotional themes, PARADISO finds its main language in comedy. Through endearing characters and situations as absurd as they are everyday, the play manages to connect with the audience while inviting them to look at the reality of senior citizens with new eyes.

We are very happy to return to the stage after a year-long hiatus, and what better way to do it than with PARADISO, a hilarious comedy that, like all our productions, opens up important and necessary conversations. We want the audience to laugh, to be moved, and to leave the theater with a reflection that lingers long after the show ends,” expressed Jean Villanueva, director and producer of the piece alongside Rosa Aurora.

The production brings together an outstanding cast composed of Laura Leclerc, Gracielina Olivero, Frank Ceara, Milton Cordero “Lechuga”, Miguel Lendor “Papachín”, Bernardita García Smester, Chabela Estrella de Bisonó, Luis del Valle, Irma García, Calú de la Huerga, Naishme de los Santos, Lauren Molina and Hey Santana, who will bring to life a story that promises to win the hearts of the audience.

As part of its social commitment, PARADISO will be presented for the benefit of the Jompéame Foundation, allocating part of the funds raised to support initiatives and causes in favor of the elderly. In this way, the production seeks for the impact of the play to transcend the stage and contribute to improving the quality of life of those who need it most.

PARADISO is an original idea by Jean Villanueva, who wrote the script together with Nicolás Hernández. The play was born as a tribute to senior citizens, recognizing their legacy and reminding us that they never stop needing love, companionship, and the certainty that they remain important.

With a staging filled with humor, tenderness, and emotion, PARADISO promises to become an unforgettable experience that will make you laugh, move you, and open conversations about a reality that often goes unnoticed.
Producciones Panda Rosa appreciates the support of the companies and institutions that make this production possible: Amadita Laboratorio Clínico, Banco Popular Dominicano, Sendwave, Industrias Bisonó, La Colonial de Seguros, Avena Americana, Caribbean Cinemas, Colegio Mundo Alegre, La Bodega, Jack Daniels La Salonera, Maeno & Co., Smart Storage, whose support reaffirms the business sector’s commitment to the development of Dominican art, culture, and theater.

PARADISO will be presented starting September 3, 2026, at the Manuel Rueda Hall of the School of Fine Arts. Tickets are available through Uepa Tickets.
