Parlacen manages to include organ donation in the ID card of the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- Jesús Batista, vice president of the Central American Parliament (Parlacen), expressed his satisfaction with the inclusion of an organ donor registry in the new identity and electoral card of the Dominican Republic, which will also include blood type and allergy records. This measure, the result of the work of deputies Namibia Didiez and Krimilda Acosta, represents a significant step forward for public health and the well-being of the population. Batista highlighted the commitment of all Parlacen deputies in initiatives that seek collective well-being. “Our president, Dr. Karla Gutiérrez, and the board of directors have a clear objective: to work for our people,” she affirmed. Furthermore, he emphasized that it is the responsibility of all legislators, civil society, public officials, in short, we all have the responsibility to inform the citizenry about the benefits of this initiative.

Likewise, Batista Suriel thanked the cooperation and receptiveness of the Central Electoral Board, which has urged citizens to support this initiative.
