Police capture “Andy” one of those involved in homicide for scooter robbery in Santiago
Santiago. – The National Police arrested Andyson Veras, alias “Andy”, identified as one of the main individuals involved in the homicide of Edelyn Salcedo Cabrera, which occurred during a violent assault in the La Otra Banda sector of this city, in the year 2023.
The arrest occurred through arrest warrant No. 03878-2023, for Veras’ alleged direct participation in the criminal act, in which the victim was shot during an incident generated by the theft of a scooter, according to the official report.
The authorities specified that the crime occurred on the night of May 21, 2023, when Salcedo Cabrera received multiple gunshot wounds that caused his death, which generated consternation in the community and initiated an investigation that has remained active since then.
For this case, Reynaldo Manuel Cabrera Reyes has already been brought to justice, while Kalfry Marzan Cruz, alias “Kaifi”, and an individual known only as Anthony, remain fugitives, against whom an intense search is underway for their capture.
The National Police assured that it will not stop the operations until it finds all those responsible for the crime and reiterated its commitment to firmly confront the violent acts linked to armed robberies in Santiago.
The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes, while the case continues under investigation.
