Police dismantle three drug points operating in Villa Hermosa; leaves two detainees and seizes 273 portions

La Romana. — With the aim of guaranteeing the peace and security of the citizenry, police officers on duty in the municipality of Villa Hermosa dismantled three drug points and seized 273 portions of different illicit substances, during an operation in which two men were arrested.

The detainees were identified as Kelvin Antonio Leonardo Amarante, who was found with 55 portions of probable cocaine, 60 packets of possible marijuana, and 30 small bags of crack. In addition, a machete-type knife, 4,205 pesos, and a small package were seized.

In a second intervention, Juan Carlos José Florentino, alias “Pocho,” was arrested, and 66 packets of alleged cocaine, 34 of crack, 18 of “sasa,” and 10 of “molly” were seized from him. Likewise, a backpack and the sum of 1,069 pesos were retained.
