Police investigate shooting death of 34-year-old man in Yamasá

Santo Domingo.- The National Police are investigating the shooting death of 34-year-old Junior Fermín Belén, who was attacked by several individuals while walking with three other people, who remained unharmed, on the Punta Highway, Yamasá.

National Police spokesperson Diego Pesqueira reported that several people are being interviewed as part of the investigations and noted that the attackers fled the scene in a white Honda vehicle, which is being tracked through security cameras and other technological tools available to the institution.

Pesqueira indicated that, preliminarily, the hypothesis is being handled that a pistol and a chain were stolen from the victim.

In addition, he added that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the incident, so the authorities will provide further details as the inquiries progress.
