La Vega, D.R.– Members of the Regional Intelligence Sub-directorate (DINTEL) of the National Police carried out a targeted operation in the El Riito sector of this city, where they seized dozens of portions of alleged narcotic substances, cash, and communication equipment used for illicit activities.
During the operation, carried out in an uninhabited structure used as a drug sales and distribution point, several people fled upon noticing the police presence, leaving behind the evidence seized by the acting officers.
At the scene, 67 portions of alleged marijuana, 25 portions of alleged crack, a Baofeng brand radio, and RD$1,890.00 pesos in cash in various denominations were seized.

Likewise, for investigation purposes, Yamilet Morfe Abreu, 27; Juan Tomás Guzmán Lora, 69; and Wilmin Jeancarlos Rivas López, 39, were detained, as they were in the vicinity of the scene at the time of the police intervention.

The seized evidence and the detained individuals were placed under the control of the corresponding authorities for the appropriate legal purposes, while investigations related to the case continue.
