Punta Bergantín presents its vision of the golf course alongside Davis Love III and Beau Welling

Santiago. – In a meeting with its strategic partners and representatives of the media, the tourism and real estate project Punta Bergantín, located on the north coast of the country, presented the conceptual vision and scope of the development of the golf course that will be part of the ambitious proposal. During the activity, attendees had the opportunity to meet Davis Love III, legendary professional golfer, and Beau Welling, renowned international golf course designer, who shared the principles that guide the design, highlighting the harmonious integration with the natural environment, sustainability, world-class playing experience, and high real estate value. The meeting allowed for a deeper understanding of how the golf course will become a key axis for the development of Punta Bergantín, elevating the appeal of the Puerto Plata destination as a tourist, sports, and investment hub.

In that sense, Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive director of Punta Bergantín, referred to the strategic relevance by highlighting, “The golf course at Punta Bergantín has been conceived as a transformative element of the destination. It will not only provide real estate value and tourist appeal, but will also be a symbol of sustainable development, responsible design and long-term vision for the northern region of the country,” he expressed. Marranzini Grullón also pointed out that the participation of the prestigious international designers Davis Love III and Beau Welling consolidates the proposal of Punta Bergantín as one of the most important developments in the Caribbean, by offering a 27-hole championship golf course, to be built under the highest industry standards, occupying an area of more than 1MM square meters. “It will feature high-level practice facilities and a performance center, allowing players a challenging and enjoyable experience, harmoniously integrated with nature and presenting impressive panoramic views that will make each round memorable,” he explained. The president of the Dominican Golf Federation, Fedogolf, Enrique Valverde, valued the positive impact that this type of development generates for the country, highlighting the synergy between tourism, sport, and investment. “Projects like Punta Bergantín strengthen the image of the Dominican Republic as an integral destination, where sports tourism plays a key role in diversifying the offer and in the international projection of the country. This modern and sustainable vision is fundamental for the economic and social development of our communities,” he said. With this meeting, Punta Bergantín reaffirms its commitment to orderly, sustainable, and high-impact development for the region, strengthening the trust of investors, strategic allies, and the community, and positioning the project as a new benchmark for real estate tourism in the Dominican Republic.
