Santo Domingo Norte. – The deputy for the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party, Dulce Rojas, announced her aspirations for the Mayor’s Office of Santo Domingo Norte (ASDN) with a view to the municipal elections of the year 2028, while expressing concern about the current state of municipal services in that demarcation. Rojas questioned what she defined as a progressive deterioration in fundamental areas of the municipality, including urban cleaning, the maintenance of public spaces, and territorial organization. According to her, this situation is reflected in the accumulations of garbage that affect avenues, streets, and different sectors of Santo Domingo Norte, as well as in the abandonment of strategic areas. The legislator maintained that the municipality is facing a process of slumification and a lack of effective responses from the current municipal administration, headed by Mayor Betty Gerónimo, which —in her opinion— has caused a decline in the quality of life of the residents.

Dulce Rojas stated that her political project seeks to rescue the institutionalism of the city council and promote an efficient, participatory management oriented to the integral development of Santo Domingo Norte, prioritizing the improvement of basic services and urban planning. Finally, he assured that in the coming months he will be presenting his proposals and listening to the different sectors of the municipality, with the aim of building an alternative that responds to the real needs of the population.
