Sánchez Ramírez.- The President of the Senate, Ricardo de los Santos, led, along with President Luis Abinader, the inauguration of the Regional University Center UASD-Cotuí and an extension of the Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (ITLA) in the municipality of Cotuí. The commissioning of these works aims to expand opportunities for public and quality higher education in this important demarcation of the Cibao. During the inauguration of the UASD-Cotuí center, the senator highlighted the importance of this construction.

“Today, in the municipality of Cotuí, we celebrate the construction of a transcendental work for our province, a work that will mark a before and after in the educational and cultural development of Sánchez Ramírez, as a result of the joint effort between the Central Government, the senatorial office and the community”, highlighted De los Santos.

During his speech, De Los Santos listed the numerous works that the government of Luis Abinader has carried out in the municipalities of Cevicos, Villa La Mata, Cotuí and Fantino.

“I am deeply grateful to the Pro-UASD Committee, which in 1993 dreamed of having a university campus in Cotuí. Today, 32 years later, that dream comes true thanks to the unconditional support of President Luis Abinader and his commitment to higher education throughout the country,” said Ricardo de los Santos.
