Sánchez Municipality delivers 20% advance for the construction of sidewalks and curbs at the entrance to the municipality

Samaná.- The Mayor’s Office of the municipality of Sánchez made the delivery of 20% advance payment for the start of the construction work of 1,100 meters of sidewalks and curbs on the road section from Bomba Isla to the vicinity of Chichí Batista, a work destined to strengthen road safety and improve the urban environment of this important access road. The act was led by Mayor Ynocencio de Jesús Calcaño, who formally handed over to the contracting company Diseños, Presupuestos y Construcciones, SRL, the amount of RD$966,379.55, corresponding to the advance payment for the work that will be under its execution. During the activity, the municipal executive highlighted that this project is part of the comprehensive plan to improve urban infrastructure promoted by the Mayor’s Office, with the aim of guaranteeing greater safety for pedestrians and drivers, as well as contributing to the organization and beautification of the entrance to the municipality.

Furthermore, Mayor Calcaño reported that the municipal administration has planned a second stage of the project, which will include the construction of sidewalks and curbs near the Sánchez–Las Terrenas intersection, significantly expanding the positive impact of these works for the benefit of the community. The execution of this initiative is possible thanks to the support of the central Government, headed by President Luis Abinader, and the support of the Dominican Municipal League, reaffirming the joint commitment to local development, safe mobility and the well-being of citizens.
