Senator Lía Díaz highlights the intervention of the Taiwán 19 de Marzo Hospital to strengthen health in the South

Azua, D.R.– During the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the intervention at the Taiwan 19 de Marzo Regional Hospital, authorities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the public health system, an initiative that seeks to offer more dignified, modern, and efficient services to the inhabitants of the Southern Region.

During the activity, the Executive Director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Mario Lama, highlighted that this important work responds to the commitment made by President Luis Abinader to continue transforming the Public Health Services Network through investments that positively impact the quality of life of Dominicans.

Lama pointed out that the remodeling of the center will allow for expanding its response capacity and providing better conditions for both patients and medical staff, consolidating a more strengthened and accessible healthcare system.

For her part, Senator Lía Díaz expressed that the intervention of the Taiwán 19 de Marzo Regional Hospital constitutes a historic step forward for the province of Azua and the entire Southern Region.
