Sister of Guillermo Moreno and Santiago’s deputy mayor passes away

Santiago.- Mrs. Yanet Josefina Moreno García, 63 years old, died due to several health complications, according to her family on the afternoon of this Monday. The lady was the sister of political leader Guillermo Moreno and the deputy mayor of the municipality of Santiago, Mariana Moreno. The news has generated multiple expressions of solidarity in different social and political sectors of Santiago, where the Moreno family is widely known. Public figures, community leaders, and acquaintances have expressed their sorrow at the loss. In a brief message, Mariana Moreno thanked the expressions of support received and expressed the deep pain that overwhelms her family in these difficult times. Moreno García’s remains will be displayed this Tuesday, February 17, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the Central Chapel of the Fuente de Luz Memorial Park Cemetery, where friends, relatives, and representatives from various sectors will come to pay tribute and accompany his family.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Félix Díaz; her children Khrista, Yohanny and Koichi; her grandson Aoki; as well as her siblings Guillermo, Aura, Mariana, Reynaldo, Rosa, Bárbara, Bernd, Teresa, Miguel and Ángel, in addition to nephews, in-laws and other family members. Upon learning of the death, the Santiago society has joined the Moreno family in their grief, reiterating their condolences and support in this moment of mourning.
