Santo Domingo.– After overcoming the district and regional stages in first place, student Victoria Sarai Bolívar Cañas, from the fourth year of secondary school at Colegio San Martín de Porres, obtained third place nationally in the National Social Sciences Olympiad, a competition that brings together students from across the country to evaluate their knowledge and analytical skills.
In the final phase of the competition, corresponding to category C (third and fourth year of secondary school), Victoria managed to position herself among the best-performing participants in the country, as a result of a preparation process that began months earlier and progressed as she overcame each of the qualifying stages.
For the student, this recognition represents an incentive to continue growing in the academic field. After learning the result, she expressed her satisfaction with the achievement reached and assured that she will continue preparing herself to take on new challenges, in addition to participating in initiatives that contribute to her educational community.
The National Social Sciences Olympiad promotes critical analysis of reality, understanding of the environment, and the application of knowledge acquired in the classroom, by testing the skills of students from different regions of the country in the same academic setting.
Beyond an individual result, Victoria’s performance reflects the process that made it possible: the guidance of her teachers, the support of her family, and the willingness of a student who embraced every stage as an opportunity to learn. These are elements that, when they converge, allow talent to find spaces to develop.
