Santo Domingo, DR.- The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FCES) of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) will hold this Thursday, July 2, the second electoral round to elect the person who will occupy the Deanship during the 2026-2030 period, thus culminating the university democratic process called by the Central Electoral Commission.
n” “nMore than a choice between two candidacies, the day represents a decision on the management model, the way of conducting academia, and the type of leadership that will guide the destiny of the Faculty for the next four years.
n” “nThe candidacy of Edita Rodríguez and the coalition that supports her believe that the university community has before it the opportunity to consolidate a project based on unity, dialogue, institutionality, transparency, and the participation of all sectors of the FCES.
n” “nThe first electoral round left a clear message, according to its promoters: a significant portion of the faculty expressed their support for a proposal of renewal and teamwork, which has already achieved victories in strategic positions within the Faculty.

n” “nThe coalition arrives strengthened at this runoff election after securing the Vice-Deanship, as well as the directorships of the Schools of Accounting and Economics, results that, according to its representatives, reflect the support for a coordinated management with the capacity to execute a common agenda and promote the changes that the institution requires.
