Taylor Gosnell: key call
The case came to light after the six-year-old boy managed to contact his grandmother and told her that he and his sister were alone and that he was hungry.
Following the call, authorities arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon at a residence located on Bud Arthur Bridge Road, in the Cowpens area, to conduct a welfare check.
Upon entering the home, the officers found the minors unsupervised, bloodied, and with multiple wounds. They also observed destroyed televisions and mirrors inside the house.
Taylor Gosnell arrested
The children were initially taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and subsequently received specialized medical care. Local sources reported that they were transferred to a children’s hospital in Greenville.
Taylor Gosnell was not at the residence when the officers arrived, but, according to authorities, he returned later while the investigations were underway.
The woman was transported for a mental health evaluation before being taken into custody.
So far, the authorities have not publicly reported a possible motive for the attack. The investigation remains open while Gosnell continues to be held pending the development of the judicial process.
The charges against Taylor Gosnell correspond to the accusations made by the authorities and must be proven in court.
