Duarte. A 13-year-old teenager remains in the custody of the National Police after being identified as the alleged person responsible for causing the death of her father during an incident that occurred in the municipality of Las Guáranas, Duarte province.
According to preliminary information, the deceased was identified as Anthoney Pie, of Haitian nationality, who died as a result of a stab wound.
The body was removed by the competent authorities and transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), where the corresponding autopsy will be performed as part of the investigations.
According to the version offered by the minor to investigators, she acted in self-defense, claiming that her father was allegedly trying to strangle her when the incident occurred.

The teenager remains in the custody of the authorities while the case is being investigated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances in which the incident occurred and determining the corresponding responsibilities.
