Caracas.– The President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, reported this Saturday that the number of people who died in the earthquakes recorded on June 24 has risen to 4,333. In addition, he indicated that another 16,740 were injured as a result of the tragedy.
The official explained that emergency agencies remain deployed in the affected areas to assist those impacted and to advance the assessment of the damage caused by the double earthquake, considered one of the most serious natural disasters the country has faced in recent years.
According to the official report, hundreds of buildings suffered damage and thousands of people remain homeless, while authorities continue recovery and reconstruction efforts in the communities impacted by the phenomenon.

Venezuelan authorities assured that rescue and assistance teams will continue working in the affected areas, while the Government coordinates actions to assist the affected families and accelerate the recovery process.
