Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Republic’s Meteorology Institute (INDOMET), forecast for this Monday, an air mass with very little moisture content over the entire Dominican territory. In this sense, a relatively stable and calm meteorological environment will prevail in almost the entire country, with isolated cloudiness and absent rainfall expected in most locations, these conditions being conducive to outdoor activities. Only widely isolated and weak showers could occur over the mountainous systems of the Central mountain range and the Neiba and Bahoruco mountain ranges during the afternoon until the early hours of the night. Tomorrow, Tuesday, a quite similar meteorological pattern is expected, a dry and stable air mass will continue to dominate the meteorological conditions over the country.

Therefore, a sky with isolated cloudiness and clear in a large part of our territory is expected. Rainfall will continue to be largely absent over the nation, with only widely isolated and weak showers expected in towns located on the Central mountain range during the afternoon hours. The temperatures will be cool and pleasant, becoming colder in mountainous areas and the inland valleys of the country, where dense fogs and mists could also occur, due to the time of year (winter) and the cool northeast wind. National District: isolated clouds. Santo Domingo Norte: isolated clouds. Santo Domingo Este: isolated clouds. Santo Domingo Oeste: isolated clouds. Minimum temperatures between 18 °C and 20 °C and the maximum between 27 °C and 29 °C. Summary: Dry and stable air mass will maintain a clear and low-rainfall environment over the country today and tomorrow. Temperatures will continue to be pleasant at night and early morning due to the time of year. On Wednesday morning, it will continue to be clear with scattered clouds, but in the afternoon, due to a trough that will be approaching the country, significant cloud increases are expected, accompanied by occasional heavy showers, thunderstorms, and possible wind gusts in towns in the northeast, southeast, and the Central mountain range. These rains will continue into the night.
