Moscow/Kyiv .- Three people lost their lives and three others were injured in a village near the city of Istra, 35 kilometers from Moscow, following an attack with more than 350 Ukrainian drones launched last night against the territory surrounding the Russian capital.
In addition, this same Monday, a woman died and two men were injured due to Ukrainian attacks against the border region of Belgorod, and an oil depot was hit in the Stavropol region, in the southwest of the country, according to Telegram channels.
Massive attack against 15 Russian regions
According to the Ministry of Defense, air defenses repelled more than 340 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Volgograd, Vladimir, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Tula, the Moscow region, Krasnodar, and Adygea.
In Moscow alone, the mayor reported that some 50 devices launched by Ukraine were shot down as they approached the city.
Meanwhile, the region’s governor, Andrei Vorobyov, stated that “air defenses and electronic warfare systems neutralized 81 drones.”

They also reported having shot down drones on the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, annexed in 2014, and flying over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Attack from inside Russia thwarted
On the other hand, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) boasted this Monday of having thwarted drone attacks that were supposed to have been launched from within Russia against military airfields in the Amur regions, in the Far East, and Chelyabinsk, in the Urals.
“24 drones with electronic warfare-resistant control modules, manufactured in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Sweden, armed with explosives weighing more than one kilogram were seized,” according to a statement cited by TASS.

In addition, they dismantled two mobile ground control stations for drones, which used satellite, mobile, Wi-Fi, and radio communications, “equipped with self-destruct devices containing 250 grams of explosives each.”
Several people were detained for their involvement in this operation, about which the FSB agencies “received information in advance from the Ukrainian secret services,” according to the statement.
In June 2025, Ukrainian intelligence carried out a coordinated drone attack against five Russian military airbases in the Irkutsk, Ryazan, Ivanovo, Murmansk, and Amur regions.

Russia attacks Ukraine with three missiles and 134 drones
For its part, Russia launched a total of three Kh-59 and Kh-69 guided air missiles and 134 long-range drones of various types in the last few hours.
As reported by the Ukrainian Air Force in its daily briefing, the three missiles and 123 drones were neutralized by Ukrainian defenses over several regions in the north, east, and south of the country.
Six other devices could not be intercepted, while the fall of fragments from downed drones was recorded in four other locations.
In addition, the report noted another separate attack by Russia against the Odesa region early this morning, for which it announced more details during the day.
As usual, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned the Russian attacks on his social media.
According to Zelensky, some drones struck a hospital in the northeastern region of Kharkiv, apartment blocks in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia, and a bus terminal in Odesa, which caused at least 3 injuries.
