Tomás Hernández Alberto firmly supports President Abinader’s actions against corruption

Santo Domingo.– The political leader Tomás Hernández Alberto categorically stated that in the Dominican Republic impunity came to an end with the arrival of President Luis Abinader, and that the actions taken against the irregularities detected in SENASA confirm that this government does not protect anyone who has broken the law.

Hernández Alberto maintained that President Abinader has been firm, brave and consistent with his word by ordering an immediate, in-depth and uncompromising investigation, and by sending the report directly to the Public Ministry, demonstrating that there are no friends, colleagues or allies above the law.

“With SENASA it has been made clear, without room for doubt or manipulation, that there is no and will be no impunity. President Luis Abinader does not cover up, does not negotiate with corrupt individuals, and does not hesitate when it comes to defending the money of the Dominican people,” he expressed.

The political leader was emphatic in pointing out that this behavior breaks with the practices of the past, when cases were swept under the rug. “Today justice acts independently because the president has guaranteed it to the country. Political shields and silence pacts are over here“, he stated.
