Tomás Hernández Alberto supports Abinader’s statements after television interview

Santo Domingo.– The president of the Poder P’AL Pueblo movement, Tomás Hernández Alberto, expressed his support this Monday for the statements made by President Luis Abinader during the interview granted on Sunday night, considering that the president responded with clarity to the main issues of national interest.

Hernández Alberto appreciated that the head of state reaffirmed that in the Dominican Republic there is not and will not be a “gag law”, while highlighting the Government’s commitment to freedom of expression, respect for democracy, and institutional strengthening.

He also considered the explanations offered by the president regarding the performance of the economy, the progress in education, investments in infrastructure, and the actions aimed at strengthening the health system to be positive, understanding that they were supported by data on government management.

“President Luis Abinader spoke with clarity, transparency, and responsibility. It was an interview in which he addressed the concerns of the Dominican people and clearly defined the main issues that currently occupy national attention,” stated Hernández Alberto.

The political leader maintained that these types of communication spaces contribute to strengthening citizen trust in institutions and allow the population to learn firsthand about the initiatives promoted by the Government.

Finally, he reiterated his support for President Abinader’s administration and stated that the government remains focused on promoting economic growth, improving public services, and strengthening democracy in the country.
