Washington.- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Friday that neither China nor Russia are supporting Iran with the sale of weaponry for the war, while warning them that, if they were to do so, it would be “very bad” for both countries.
“In my opinion, two great countries that are often talked about in relation to Iran are not participating. If they were to do so, it would be very bad for them, it would clearly not be in their best interest,” the Republican expressed on his social network, Truth.
Trump asserted that his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, told him during their last meeting in May in Beijing that he “would not give or sell weapons, under any circumstances, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that this promise included Chinese companies.”
Trump stated that he believes his Chinese counterpart, given the good relationship between the two and the fact that the United States is also doing “great favors” for China.
Russia’s commitment to Iran
Regarding the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, the American leader assured that the Kremlin leader, “despite the horrible war in Ukraine,” also told him that he “would not sell weapons to Iran.”

Trump recalled that the United States is not transferring weapons directly to Ukraine, but rather doing so through NATO countries, which “pay the full price,” and that Washington subsequently does not know “how those weapons are distributed.”
