Two women are arrested for attempting to rob tourists in Sosúa

Sosúa, Puerto Plata – National Police agents arrested two women accused of having tried to steal belongings from several tourists in the municipality of Sosúa, Puerto Plata province. The authorities identified the detainees as Soribel Peña and Karina Santana, both residents of the Maranatha sector of said locality. According to the preliminary report, the females were arrested in the act after a police intervention carried out in the area. The case was made available to the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes, while investigations continue in order to clarify the facts and determine possible additional implications.
