Washington.- U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated this Tuesday that Iran’s public denials regarding the existence of talks with Washington are what he described as a “Persian negotiating tactic,” during a television interview in which he maintained that technical contacts between both countries continue.
n” “nIn a dialogue on conservative analyst Michael Knowles’ podcast, Vance pointed out that there were “purely technical” conversations scheduled in continuity with previous contacts and maintained that these are ongoing despite denials from Tehran.
n” “n“Undoubtedly, they will take place tomorrow,” stated the vice president.
The statements come amid conflicting reports regarding contacts between the United States and Iran, after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that Tehran had requested a meeting in Doha, the capital of Qatar, something the Iranian government has publicly denied.
