Woman arrested for alleged electronic fraud in San José de las Matas

Santiago.- Agents of the National Police arrested a 22-year-old woman accused of her alleged involvement in an electronic fraud case, during an operation carried out in the municipality of San José de las Matas, province of Santiago. The detainee was identified as Ashlin Carolina Rosario Moya, who was arrested by members of the Division of Investigation of Crimes Against Property, in compliance with arrest warrant No. 973-2025-EMES-12125. The woman is accused of being allegedly responsible for violating article 405 of the Dominican Penal Code, which typifies the crime of fraud. According to police information, the act would have been committed to the detriment of citizen Carlos Jahaziel Encarnación García, whose complaint gave rise to the investigation that culminated in the arrest of the accused.

Following her detention, Rosario Moya will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, for the purposes of investigation and corresponding submission, as established by current laws. The authorities reiterated their commitment to continue combating electronic crimes, a criminal modality that has been on the rise and that affects citizens through various digital means.
