Woman captured for extorting her husband’s lover in Mexico; she demanded 300,000 pesos

Mexico.- A 39-year-old woman was arrested for committing the crimes of extortion and threatening to spread a video of sexual content, after discovering that her husband was cheating on her with her daughter’s gym teacher. The woman was identified as Diana “N” and her detention took place on March 19 in the municipality of Guadalupe. The reason for her detention caused controversy on social media, as in a matter of seconds after being a victim of infidelity she became the perpetrator. According to the report issued by the authorities, the woman discovered on her husband’s cell phone a video taken two years ago with a hidden camera in which he appeared to be having sexual relations with a woman, whom she identified as Fabiola, her daughter’s gym teacher. When Diana “N” discovered this video, she contacted Fabiola, to whom she initially sent the sexual video via instant messaging and threatened her. “Something terrible awaits you, I will not rest until everyone sees it“, Diana “N” wrote to him via text message. Faced with this, Fabiola panicked, as until that moment she was unaware of the existence of that video. Scared, she decided to contact Diana “N”, so she called her on the phone and in that conversation the threats continued. Diana “N” began to extort Fabiola by telling her that if she didn’t want that video to be spread, then she had to pay her the amount of 300 thousand pesos.

In the conversation, Diana “N” also told her that if she didn’t pay her that amount of money, then she was willing to go outside the gymnastics academy and, with a megaphone, tell what had happened between the teacher and her husband, whom the authorities identify as Daniel “N”. Diana “N” gave Fabiola a 24-hour deadline to pay 300,000 pesos, otherwise she would release the video. Fabiola began to gather the money, but at that moment, she was approached by her husband, to whom Diana “N” had already sent the video with sexual content. Fabiola and her husband started arguing and he threatened to take her children away from her because of this infidelity, so Fabiola panicked and was certain that Diana was really capable of spreading the video. Fabiola asked Diana for more time to be able to gather the video, but instead she went to the competent authorities to file a complaint. What Fabiola accuses is the extortion and threats she has been subjected to by Diana “N”, but she also points out having been recorded without consent while having sexual relations with Daniel “N”. Following the complaint made by Fabiola, the arrest of Diana “N” was achieved on March 19th on Acapulco Boulevard, between the intersections of Los Cristales and Melchor Ocampo, in the municipality of Guadalupe. Following her detention, Diana “N” was placed at the disposal of a Women’s Social Reintegration Center, while in the psychological report, experts confirmed that Fabiola presents psychological damage, anxiety, and constant fear due to the threats.
