Police in India have filed a 5,053-page charge sheet against Siya Goyal in connection with the death of her fiancé, real estate agent Ketan Agarwal, who died in June after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra.
The document includes technical evidence, messages, photographs, phone records and witness statements that investigators say support the case against Goyal, her alleged lover Chetan Choudhary and a third suspect, Ritesh Hange.
According to the investigation, Agarwal died on June 18 after allegedly being pushed from the fort. Police believe Goyal and Choudhary had been planning the killing since February. Investigators also allege there was a first attempt on June 14, when Goyal tried to push Agarwal, but he survived by grabbing onto bushes.
Days later, investigators say Goyal convinced Agarwal to return to the location and, with Choudhary’s alleged assistance, pushed him from the cliff. Police allege Hange acted as an adviser, participating in discussions about the plan and ways to avoid attracting police attention afterward.
