Colombia.-A 29-year-old woman passed away after falling from the 13th floor of a residential building in the municipality of Piedecuesta, in the department of Santander, Colombia, while attempting to return to her apartment after having left her keys inside the home.
The victim was identified as Laydy Yurley Flórez Martínez, who lost her life on the morning of Sunday, August 2nd. According to local media, the incident occurred around 10:15 in the morning at the Zafiro building.
According to preliminary reports, the young woman allegedly attempted to access her apartment again using a window, in a maneuver that ended in tragedy when she lost her balance and fell from a great height.

Emergency teams and members of the authorities moved to the scene after receiving the alert, but upon arrival, they confirmed that the woman had died due to the serious injuries sustained from the impact.
The authorities initiated the corresponding investigations to establish the circumstances of the accident with precision, although initial reports suggest that it was a fortuitous event and there are no indications of third-party involvement.
The case has caused shock among the building’s residents and the Piedecuesta community, who lamented the tragic outcome. The authorities reiterated the call to avoid performing risky maneuvers that could endanger lives.
