Santo Domingo Norte.– A family residing in the Los Altos II sector of Sabana Perdida reported this Thursday that they have been facing alleged threats, assaults, and acts of harassment by a neighbor for more than four years, a situation that, they claim, has put the physical integrity of a woman in the community at risk.
Raymón Antonio Solano Pimentel came to De Último Minuto to present the case of his wife, Kedy Pérez Lebrén, who claims to have been a victim on multiple occasions of assaults by the individual named Oelmy Hidalgo Ramírez.
According to the complainant, one of the first incidents occurred when the man allegedly threatened Pérez Lebrón with a machete, an event for which she went to the Santo Domingo Norte Prosecutor’s Office, where she was granted a restraining order.
However, she maintains that the harassment actions continued. According to her account, the individual subsequently allegedly pulled a knife on the woman and was arrested in flagrante delicto by agents of the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Attention System. Nevertheless, she indicated that he was later released under periodic reporting requirements.
Solano Pimentel further stated that, days later, the man allegedly pursued his wife and struck her in the leg with a stick. He added that, despite the legal proceedings initiated, the accused was released once again.

Among the documents shown by the family is a complaint filed on May 22, 2024, with the authorities, in which Kedy Pérez Lebrón stated that the accused allegedly tried to run her over with a vehicle while she was heading to her business. According to the document, the conflict is related to a land demarcation issue.
Given the situation, the family requested the intervention of the authorities and the implementation of measures to guarantee the woman’s safety.
“We do not want her to be one more victim. We ask that there be a system of consequences before a tragedy occurs,” expressed Solano Pimentel.
