Santo Domingo, R.D. – The Mujeres al Volante RD Foundation, chaired by lawyer María Díaz, held a road safety education and driving instruction day for young members of the Specialized Corps for Metro and Cable Car Security (CEMET), as part of its commitment to promoting a culture of responsible transit in the Dominican Republic.
During the meeting, the entity developed a training workshop in which dozens of young people participated, with the purpose of strengthening their knowledge in road safety and promoting the multiplication of these teachings in their homes and communities. This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy of prevention and citizen awareness aimed at reducing traffic accidents.
Licensed Maria Diaz highlighted that this day is part of the sustained work carried out by the Mujeres al Volante RD Foundation to promote respect for traffic regulations, responsible driving and, above all, the preservation of lives on the country’s roads.
“We firmly believe that road education is a key tool to reduce traffic accidents. Betting on the training of women and young people is betting on a safer future for all,” said Díaz.
The Women at the Wheel RD Foundation reaffirms its commitment to continue developing educational and training programs that contribute to improving road safety and empowering women as agents of positive change in Dominican society.
