“Women’s Bathroom”, a new Dominican suspense thriller, arrives in theaters on October 2nd

Santo Domingo.- Dominican suspense and horror cinema adds a new production to its history: “Baño de mujeres”, a film starring Dominican actress Judith Rodríguez, Angelique Burgos (from Puerto Rico) and, from Mexico, Altair Jarabo. During a private sneak peek with members of the press and film critics, a 7-minute cut of the film was exclusively screened, as well as the behind the scenes. Details of this story, which arrives in cinemas in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico on October 2, were offered. “Women’s Bathroom” is directed by Frank Perozo, who also acts in an antagonistic role in his first suspense film. Original story written by Kendy Y. Calcaño. It also features the Argentine director and screenwriter Santiago Fernández Calvete as a co-writer. Within the novelties in this production is the sound engineering and musicalization, in charge of the Canadian musician and composer Mario Sévigny, winner of multiple awards with this genre. His musical composition gives a distinctive atmosphere to the moments of suspense and terror in the film.

Synopsis 
Johana, Lily, and Marianne are enjoying every minute of their getaway. They have hit the road to put aside the stress and absorb life in gulps. They make a technical stop at a roadside station and all their plans are turned around when, while in the bathroom, Johana begins to read messages written on the door. They are from someone asking for help. At first, he takes it as a joke, but as he is about to leave, a slight whisper stops him. Someone is talking to him, but there is no one there. One sign after another will completely change Johana’s attitude. Determined to help, she tells her friends. At first, the girls make fun of her, but then the three of them end up involved in the most chilling plot. That inn is used by a bloody network of human trafficking. One, who died there abused a short time ago, wants to save her sister, who also fell into the trap. Johana, Lily and Marianne are going to help her. All the information they need is in that bathroom.
