The work began with the demolition of the existing badén, which will allow for the construction of a definitive structure that will replace the provisional passage used for years, especially vulnerable during the rainy season.
The information was provided by the senator from Azua, Lía Díaz, who explained that, while construction work progresses, a provisional detour will be enabled to guarantee vehicular traffic and avoid the paralysis of agricultural and commercial activities in the municipality.

The work responds to a historical demand from the community members, agricultural producers, religious leaders, and social organizations of Guayabal, who for years demanded a definitive solution that would guarantee safe access between the communities.
The legislator highlighted that Guayabal is a municipality with a strong agricultural vocation, so the construction of the bridge will have a direct impact on the transportation of products to regional and national markets, in addition to contributing to better living conditions for its inhabitants.
The construction of the bridge over the La Tina river is considered a strategic intervention for the road, economic and social development of the municipality of Guayabal and surrounding areas adjacent.
