Santo Domingo.– Calm reigns at the construction site where a Haitian worker lost his life after coming into contact with an electrical cable while working on the roof of the building.
According to statements offered to this media by one of the workers, everyone is dismayed by what happened, but they assure that they trust that a similar incident will not happen again.
“One never thought that something like this could happen… but it won’t happen again, because that cable is quite far away”, said the worker, who preferred not to reveal his identity to protect his job.
In the place, an atmosphere of quiet is observed. Only a few workers remain on the property and, although no official statement has been issued, it is perceived that the construction work is temporarily stopped.
