Two young Dominican musicians are taking national talent to stages in Japan by participating in the Simanof Japan Tour 2026, a tour that brings together instrumentalists from different countries to perform concerts and compete in a high-level international event.
They are Aarón Di Lorenzo, a 12-year-old cellist, and Andri Feliciano, a 21-year-old violinist, who are representing the Dominican Republic during the performances scheduled in the cities of Osaka and Tokyo.
Both are part of the musical training program promoted by Sistema Punta Cana and are studying at the National Conservatory of Music. During the tour, they have shared the stage with young performers of various nationalities, standing out for their performance within the participating orchestras.
The presence of Dominicans in this artistic exchange is the result of the collaboration between the Sistema Punta Cana and the Siman Orchestral Foundation (SIMANOF), an initiative aimed at expanding training and international projection opportunities for emerging musicians in the country.

The artistic direction of the tour is led by the Venezuelan violinist and conductor Eddy Marcano, who valued the level reached by the Dominican representatives and highlighted the potential of the new generations of musicians trained in the country.
As part of this cooperation, Marcano announced that he plans to visit Punta Cana in 2027 to participate in an international orchestra festival and the first edition of a chamber music festival, events that will seek to turn the area into a meeting point for young talents and masters from different parts of the world, strengthening cultural exchange and specialized musical training.
