The meeting took place at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s residence in Palm Beach. The meeting began with a formal greeting and lasted for almost three hours. At the end, Trump declared that the talks were “very productive” and that issues with European leaders interested in the peace process were also addressed.

The dialogue revolved around the 20-point peace proposal designed by Washington, which seeks to end the war that began in February 2022. Trump assured that “we are getting closer” to an agreement and announced that he plans to speak again with Russian President Vladimir Putin to continue the negotiations.
