Coercion measure against doctor accused of sexual assault in SFM postponed again

San Francisco de Macorís. — The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Duarte province postponed until next Thursday at 11:00 in the morning the knowledge of the coercive measure against the doctor Wilber Polanco, accused of alleged sexual assault against a young woman of Haitian nationality in the municipality of Las Guáranas. The court’s decision came after the defendant appeared at the hearing accompanied by a new defense attorney. Faced with this situation, the judge ordered the postponement so that the jurist could formally take cognizance of the file and prepare the corresponding means of defense, thus guaranteeing due process.
