Court to decide this Wednesday if Espaillat brothers will face trial on bail or in prison for Jet Set case

Santo Domingo. – This Wednesday, the court will determine whether the Espaillat siblings, Antonio and Maribel, will serve preventive detention or will be able to face the judicial process related to the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set entertainment center while free. The hearing to determine the coercive measures is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Nueva. It had been postponed last Sunday, with the purpose of giving additional time to the defense lawyers to examine the file and prepare their arguments before the judge.

The Espaillat brothers are being investigated in connection with the events that occurred in the aforementioned establishment, which have generated widespread media and social attention due to their tragic consequences. It is expected that during the hearing, both the Public Ministry and the defense will present their respective positions on the type of measure that should be imposed while the judicial process is underway.
