Santo Domingo.- The Government of the Dominican Republic informs that, in response to the preliminary request for international assistance made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has arranged humanitarian support measures to contribute to the care of the communities affected by the earthquake registered in the Republic of Colombia.
As part of this solidarity initiative, the Ministry of Defense (MIDE) has enabled starting today a collection center at the Dominican Republic Navy, intended to receive donations to support the Colombian population affected by this emergency.

The collection center is located at the “27 de Febrero” Naval Base, on Avenida España, Punta Torrecilla, Sans Soucí, in the Santo Domingo Este municipality.
The center will be operational every day, from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, and will receive medications and medical supplies, canned food, hydration liquids, non-perishable food, dry food, and wet hygiene wipes.

Donations will be received, sorted, and organized by personnel assigned for these purposes, ensuring their proper custody and preparation for subsequent delivery, as part of humanitarian assistance efforts.
