Santo Domingo.– National Police agents arrested a man identified as the alleged person responsible for the theft of communicator Ricardo Ripoll’s cell phone, in an incident that occurred on May 27 in the Bella Vista sector of the National District.
The detainee was identified as Alison Pérez, known as “El Bombi”, 32 years old, who was located following an investigation carried out by the authorities in coordination with units specialized in crimes against property.
According to the police report, investigators were able to identify the suspect through the analysis of images captured by surveillance cameras located at different points in the area, which allowed them to reconstruct the route taken by the alleged perpetrator after the incident occurred.

The authorities indicated that the communicator was stripped of his phone through a snatch-and-grab method while he was inside his vehicle in the middle of traffic on a road in Bella Vista.
At the time of the arrest, Pérez was traveling on a motorcycle that, according to investigations, had allegedly been used during the commission of the robbery. The vehicle was seized as part of the evidence in the case.
The Police also reported that the detainee has a record for similar acts and will be brought to justice for the alleged commission of the crime of robbery.
With the suspect’s arrest, the authorities consider the case solved and proceeded to place him at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
