La Romana.– The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), together with the Public Ministry, arrested a man identified as an alleged member of a network dedicated to drug trafficking and linked to the seizure of 237 packages of cocaine found in a cockfighting arena located at kilometer 36 of the Duarte Highway, in Santo Domingo.
The detainee was identified as Adriano Corporán Inirio, who was located during a raid carried out at a home in the Las Orquídeas residential complex, on Aerangis Street, in this province.
According to the DNCD, the arrest was executed through judicial order number 2026-AJ0061276. The agency indicated that the defendant will be presented before the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Santo Domingo Oeste for the corresponding legal procedures.
The authorities reported that the 237 packages seized in the previous operation had a total weight of 243 kilograms of cocaine, according to the analysis carried out by the competent agencies.
The investigation remains open and the authorities are continuing search efforts to identify and capture other possible members of the structure linked to the shipment.

During the actions carried out in the La Romana residential area, Félix Evangelista Sánchez Crispín was also arrested, who was wanted by the authorities after having been sentenced to eight years in prison for a drug trafficking case related to the trafficking of more than 300 kilograms of cocaine in the National District.

During the operations, the agents seized two vehicles, a motorcycle, cell phones, GPS devices, cash, electronic keys, personal documents, and other evidence that will be used in the investigative process.
