SANTO DOMINGO – The Executive Branch has appointed the prominent economist and academic Dr. Leonardo Aguilera as the new Executive President of Banco de Reservas (Banreservas), replacing Samuel Pereyra.
Pereyra will take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Refidomsa.
Aguilera, founding president of the Centro Económico del Cibao, has more than three decades of experience in economic analysis, political consulting, and university teaching. In addition, he has been a protagonist in public opinion studies and author of multiple specialized publications.
About Leonardo Aguilera
For almost three decades, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera Batista has been the leader of the Cibao Economic Center. During this time, he has worked as a consultant and survey firm, since 1990 in presidential, congressional, and municipal campaigns.
He has been a strategist for candidates from Mexico, Haiti, Uruguay, and former Salvadoran President Salvador Sánchez Cerén.
