The mutilated remains of a businesswoman and her 19-year-old daughter were discovered in an apartment and garage in southeastern Moscow, with Russian investigators identifying the woman’s boyfriend as the main suspect in the double killing.

The victims were identified as businesswoman Elena Tsereteli and her daughter, Daria. Investigators said the mother’s remains were found in an apartment on October 3, while the daughter’s remains were discovered in a garage. Weapons and ammunition were also found at both locations.

According to investigators, the suspect, identified by local media as Teimuraz Gogiashvili, allegedly killed Daria after meeting her following a training session and then dismembered her body. He later went to the home of his partner, where investigators allege he shot and killed the mother and further mutilated her remains.

Reports also say the suspect allegedly used a meat grinder to dispose of some of the remains.

After the killings, Gogiashvili allegedly encountered relatives of the victims on the street and told them the women had become ill. He also reportedly exchanged messages with Daria’s boyfriend while pretending to be her.

The suspect was arrested in Russia’s Voronezh region alongside his partner and was later transferred to Moscow. Investigators are examining whether the woman was involved in the killings.

Gogiashvili has been charged with the murder of two people allegedly committed for financial gain, as well as illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition. Investigators said he has partially admitted guilt.

Authorities are also examining a financial dispute involving the suspect. Court documents indicate he owed a company in Russia’s Tula region more than 42 million rubles, approximately $500,000, in connection with an unpaid contract advance.
