Ney Arias Lora Hospital discharges 27 patients admitted for accidents during Christmas

Santo Domingo. – The University Hospital Doctor Ney Arias Lora reported that 27 of the 33 patients admitted during the Christmas holiday for traffic accidents have already been discharged, after receiving specialized medical care. The center’s director, doctor Julio Landrón, explained that most of those affected presented significant open fractures, so they underwent immediate surgical interventions, achieving a favorable clinical evolution.

He also indicated that other patients were operated on on December 26 and 27, which allowed for their subsequent hospital discharge. Regarding the cases that are still admitted, he pointed out that they were scheduled for surgeries this Monday, the 29th, with the expectation of being discharged on Tuesday, before the New Year’s holiday. Landrón highlighted that these medical discharges are part of the preventive plan of the hospital due to the end-of-year festivities, aimed at ensuring the availability of beds and care areas in the event of possible emergencies. “The Ney Arias Lora Hospital has the staff and space necessary to respond in a timely manner to any eventuality during the New Year holiday,” he assured.
