Following a quick intelligence and pursuit operation, police units managed to apprehend those involved, seizing the bladed weapon used in the act and the stolen phone. Subsequently, through GPS tracking and ongoing investigations, two other alleged members of the gang were arrested: Carlos José Frías (alias “El Mago”), who has several outstanding arrest warrants, and Noel Burgos Plácido (alias “Morenito”), who were traveling on a Bajaj motorcycle, which had also been stolen.

The investigations also led to the arrest of three men identified as alleged buyers of stolen motorcycles, identified as Juan Daniel Cipión Adames, Ramón de Jesús Vásquez and Colvin Rosario Rivera, who were located near the Profesor Juan Bosch school, in the El Chucho sector. Although no compromising evidence was found, four cell phones were retained for investigation purposes. All those detained were taken to the corresponding police detachment and placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for legal purposes.
