The rainfall began around 4:00 p.m. and lasted for almost an hour, affecting large areas of the city. According to forecasts from the Dominican Republic’s Meteorology Institute (Indomet), these rains are part of a pattern of atmospheric instability that will continue to affect the area. The authorities recommended that the population take the necessary precautions to avoid incidents in the face of possible new floods.
