Santo Domingo. – In Wednesday’s session in the Chamber of Deputies, the creation of the Instituto Técnico Superior Comunitario (ITSC) in Santo Domingo Norte was approved, thanks to the effort and constant follow-up of deputy Carlos Pérez, who from his seat has promoted this initiative as a priority for the youth and development of the municipality. Last year, the legislator visited the facilities of the current Instituto Técnico Superior Comunitario in San Luis, where he was received by its Rector, José Ramón Holguín Brito. In that meeting, he learned firsthand about the spaces, the work methodology, and the benefits that this training model offers to thousands of students, reaffirming his commitment to bring this opportunity to Santo Domingo Norte.

“Today we take a historic step. With the approval of this Institute, our young people will have access to quality technical training, without having to leave our territory. This means more jobs, more opportunities and more development for SDN,” said Pérez after the vote in the Chamber of Deputies. The new Higher Institute will become a pillar for the preparation of young people, fostering technical training and contributing directly to the economic and social growth of the municipality’s communities. With this approval, Congressman Carlos Pérez ratifies his commitment to education, youth, and the progress of Santo Domingo Norte, consolidating an achievement that will impact entire generations.
