Santo Domingo Norte. – Residents of the El Mamey sector, in Villa Mella, reported an increase in criminal acts in the community and requested an urgent intervention from the authorities to stop the robberies that, according to them, keep neighbors in a constant state of worry.

The complaint arises after a motorcycle was stolen during the early hours of last May 27th in front of a commercial establishment located on Ramón Matías Mella street. The stolen vehicle is a Haojue brand motorcycle, model NK150, black color, year 2025.

According to the community members, this would not be an isolated event, but rather part of a series of incidents that have affected residents and merchants in the area in recent months.

In a message addressed to the authorities, residents expressed that fear has changed the routine of many families, stating that a large part of the community avoids staying on the streets during nighttime hours for fear of being a victim of crime.

Residents also expressed their frustration over the repetition of these events and warned that the tension among those affected continues to rise. Therefore, they called on the National Police and investigative agencies to identify and capture those responsible before a regrettable situation occurs.

“The only thing we want is for the authorities to take action and help us identify those who are committing these robberies. The community is tired of living in this uncertainty,” expressed residents of the sector.

Community members hope that the investigations will allow for the recovery of the stolen vehicle and that greater surveillance measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of Villa Mella residents.
